3mm - TEFLON, Tarflen, PTFE plate for gaskets circle ϕ 38.5cm
Teflon PTFE is a material belonging to the group of high-performance thermoplastics. It possesses the best thermal resistance among plastics with technical application: the highest temperatures of short-term use amount to approximately 300∘C; of long-term use - approximately 260∘C; the temperature range of use starts from −200∘C. Teflon possesses moreover very high chemical resistance. It is insoluble in all known solvents (below temp. 300∘C) as well as resistant to the action of atmospheric conditions. PTFE is characterized by, in comparison to other materials, the smallest coefficient of friction, as well as excellent insulation and the lowest dielectric coefficient. A characteristic feature of Teflon is its high density - 2.2 g/cm3.
